The Dives started in 2016 as a 4 piece blues-based rock band. They hit the ground running with a 4 song EP and an amazing opportunity to tour North America and the UK, playing in front of tens of thousands people in the UK at venues such as the 02 Arena in London, the SSE Hydro in Glasgow and BarclayCard Arena in Birmingham. At the end of 2017, their founding member decided to move back to the West Coast to pursue a new musical route.

As a trio, their new sound provided the opportunity to open for The Plain White Tees and The Wallflowers and then secured a NYC club residency where they were able to hone their live performance – and then it hit (picture the snowstorm in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer but with a pandemic instead of snow and no Rudolph to save the day). Like every actor and musician as well as audiences, they were suffering the ramifications of locked venue doors. But, also like so many entertainers, they put the time to good use. It not only gave them time to record their new music which started being released in January 2021, but made them pivot and stop to rethink everything they were doing because, traditionally, “that’s the way it’s done”. More music to be released throughout the year.

EVAN STANLEY

Born in Los Angeles, California, Evan Stanley has always lived straddling the lines between multiple worlds: growing up, he split his time between school, touring the world with his father’s band KISS and working as a delivery boy for his local deli. After school and a stint in New York, Stanley moved back to LA to pursue his own brand of pop that he describes as “a mix of 60s psychedelic, 70s singer-songwriter and 80s new wave filtered through a 90s baby that grew up on pop punk.”

An alt-country, Americana-styled roots rock band out of Sacramento, California consisting of drummer Christopher Amaral, vocalist and guitarist Tony Brusca, bassist and vocalist Paul Zinn, and lead guitarist and singer Steve Amaral. The Nickel Slots were formed in 2008 and currently working on their fifth full length album. Their bright, energetic sound, which crosses Johnny Cash country with a punk veneer reminiscent of the Clash with the Roots Rock of Tom Petty, has garnered them an enthusiastic and loyal fan base.
